British Gas Great Scottish Swim is postponed

We are disappointed to confirm that the British Gas Great Scottish Swim, which was due to be held on Saturday August 21 at Strathclyde Loch, has been postponed. The decision was taken by the Event Safety Group due to the presence of blue-green algae in the water.

A potential new 2010 date for the Great Scottish Swim is being looked into and you will be contacted directly by the event organisers once a date has been identified

If you are unable to attend the new date you will have the option to defer your entry to the 2011 Great Swim Series.

We apologise for the inconvenience, but the safety of all swimmers is our number one priority at all times.
